OUTDOOR SUMMER SERIES 2019

Awareness & Movement in Nature

Join us for a unique opportunity to develop and expand your natural awareness and movement skills in an outdoor setting.

During this 4-week series, we'll meet at a local park one morning a week, for three weeks, to learn the basics of outdoor movement, with a focus on safe and progressive movement skills, and movement ideas that you can take home to your own backyard or local park .  On the fourth week, we'll be going to the Santa Fe Mountain to apply and adapt these skills on one of the mountain trails, and open your eyes to some of the incredible and delightful possibilities that exist when you combine awareness and movement in nature.

*Mornings in Santa Fe tend to be cool and quite pleasant.  However, please come prepared for both cool and warm weather (dress in layers).  Bring water, a mat or towel if you are not comfortable lying directly on the grass, and wear clothing that you don't mind getting a bit dirty - sometimes the grass has dew and/or dust.

While going barefoot is completely optional for any or all of the series (and I will spend some time covering how to safely and progressively approach this) please also wear or bring a pair of shoes that you feel comfortable and safe moving in.  The nearest restroom is just down the street at the Co-op, and our class time will be plenty long enough that if you need to take a short bathroom break, you are welcome to do so at any time.  Further details on our mountain trail be provided when you sign up (note, transportation will be provided, and restrooms will be available on the trail).

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
